Accountex May 13th & 14th 2015 | Our Annual Pilgrimage and why this year is a must attend
Our team, like hundreds of others, spends countless hours planning, preparing, making arrangements and designing stands for Accountex. So while this is going on, I’m taking a few moments to reflect on the event.
It’s now in its 4th year and it’s become an annual pilgrimage for Insight and our senior team. We attend almost all the events in the accounting calendar including those by STEPS, ACCA, 2020, ICPA, ICAEW and even our own. But in our professional view, none – not a single one – comes close to what you get, experience and learn when you attend Accountex.
It’s difficult to quantify, but if I were to sum it up in a couple of sentences it would be this: Accountex is the only time in the year when you can physically be in the room with over 7,000 professionals, meet 170+ suppliers, hear all of the latest news, views, advice and tips and amazingly tickets are free (for this year at least).
Legal Ex and Accountex is a marriage made in heaven.
You might be reading and wondering where the number 7,000 comes from. I have simply added together the footfall from last year’s Accountex and Legal Ex exhibitions. The organisers have carefully thought this through and it gives us all a chance to network and learn not simply with Accountants but also with legal professionals. This is a chance to share ideas, to learn from each other and, as many did last year, even do business over a glass of champagne.

Probably the best ‘vibe’ of the year
All our staff, clients and the delegates we speak to love the general atmosphere at Accountex. It’s professional, yet highly positive, almost ‘charged’ with excitement.
Even when there is competition between the giants like Sage and Xero it’s carried out with fun, laughter and ultimately for the benefit of you, the delegate.
Accountex gives you a chance to view every major supplier in the profession, in one venue with a great vibe.
The Accountex Super Cocktail just got even better
Last year, we compared Accountex to a very clever cocktail. There are times when a supplier gets the mix ‘just right’. It’s what makes the difference between enjoying a great wine and an average one or a memorable meal out with a great friend and an average meal alone in a dreary hotel.
