2015 Budget changes made to your App

We are pleased to confirm the following changes and amends have been made to the App platform.

Tax Dates

This section of your App has been updated to include dates for the 2015/2016 tax year.

Please note this may well change subsequent to further announcements on the plans revealed today to abolish Annual Tax Returns and any date changes that may be associated with it.

Tax Tables

This part of your App has been updated, particular reference to the new flexible and Help-to-Buy ISA announcements.

The Tax tables now include the final rates for the 2015/16 tax year.

Income Tax Calculator

Thanks to feedback received today and various requests our team are updating this calculator now rather than waiting until 6th April. The other calculators will go live early on the morning of the 6th April as advised in this morning’s email.

Information we are waiting to firm up:

  1. At present there are no clear dates for the abolishment of Class 2 NIC
  2. Arrangements for the abolishment of Annual Tax Returns

We will of course continue to monitor this and update these areas as soon as it’s possible.

Budget Pack clients

For clients who have the optional ‘Budget Pack’ installed you have also benefited from the following:

  1. Early this morning content added explaining our Budget Expectations
  2. Post budget changes that affect Individuals have been updated in ‘Personal Finance’
  3. Post budget changes that affect Businesses have been updated in ‘Business Announcements’
  4. Post budget other amends such as gift aid, duty, export finance etc. have been added under ‘Other Announcements’

We will publish a detailed guide to the budget announcements later this evening within the ‘Budget Pack’ area.

Let your customers know

If you are a Platinum Customer then why not tell your clients the App’s fully updated and ready to use?

Alternatively use more traditional forms such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Google +.

What’s Next for the App?

As you may have read, our developers have been working around the clock for the last 3 months re-building the App from the ground up. To give you an idea of the scale of this rebuild every single area of the App has been reviewed, interrogated for improvements and rebuilt. In terms of financial investment this rebuild has taken 300% more investment to complete the App than to launch the very first App!

The result?

The App has improved and enhanced design, despite this it feels just as simple and intuitive to use as the predecessor. Importantly it’s also much faster, and that means far more user friendly.

Furthermore almost all the small tweaks, amends and improvements suggested by our 50,000 + end user base have been made. Hundreds of small amends, when combined have made a big difference.

The data store has also been completely rebuilt. This includes a new message facility, improved push notification sending, scheduling and tracking, reporting in App on your App user base via the dashboard, and even SMS confirmation messages when certain pre-scheduled tasks are complete.

Over the next few weeks you will hear the full details of this new platform and how/when your App will migrate over.

Warm Regards
