How to close Apps in iOS7 on an iPhone, iPad or other iOS devices

So you have updated your iPhone or iOS device to iOS7 and some things Parajumpers women have changed. One of which is how on earth do you close down the Apps on the device?
Your smartphone or iPad is a hardworking tool capable of literally almost anything.

Telephone calls happen to be a small part of what most of us use our Apple devices for. More frequent use includes emails, Apps, directions, purchasing equipment and thousands of other tasks. After carrying out hundreds of App demonstrations with financial services firms it became clear that many users were unaware that their phone was running apps in the background.

Why bother closing Apps?

What many did not realise was that; by allowing these Apps (sometimes twenty parajumpersonline.fr or more) to run in the background they were actually wasting much of the devices processing speed and battery life.

Some we spoke to had never even closed a single App before. That meant they were running a high number of Apps, slowing their device down and reducing its battery life and length.

The MyFirmsApp is designed for example to load with a splashscreen showing when the App is loading. Clients were calling asking, where is my splash screen. Not realising they had not actually closed the App, and it had been running since they first opened the App! When we explained how to actually close an App they were amazing by the increase in device performance and delighted to see the splash screen back.

How to close an App in iOS7

To close down those sneaky background Apps in the new operating system is much easier than in iOS6 and before the first step is to access the task bar on the device.

Simply press the ‘Home Button’ two times quickly:

ios7-2

If you are used to using previous versions of IOS then the first thing you might notice is that the home button no longer shows you a drawer with the icons of open Apps. Instead on screed you will find cards that contain a screenshot of open Apps. Beneath these card images you will see the App icon. In the example to the left you can see the Dains, Gerald Edelman and Mitten Clarke Apps.

You can swipe in either direction between the Apps. Swiping all the way to the left will take you to the image of your home screen, whilst going to the right reveals more open Apps (if you have more open).

Tapping on the App will then launch that App.

To close the App (of force close an App that’s unresponsive) is actually very simple although it isn’t immediately obvious.

All you need to is place your finger on the image of the App you wish to close and drag your finger upwards (forwards). This will drag the App upwards on your screen and fly off.

This simple process will dramatically speed up the iPhone, iPad or device and extend the time it will run on a single charge.
