Intelligent Apps are identified as one of Gartner’s top 10 strategic technology trends for 2017

Gartner, the world’s leading information technology research and advisory company, has named Intelligent Apps in its’ top 10 strategic technology trends for 2017.

Three clear themes form the basis of the Top 10 strategic technology trends for 2017 and include intelligent, digital and mesh.

According to Gartner, Intelligent Apps, which include technologies like virtual personal assistants, have the potential to transform the workplace by making everyday tasks easier and its’ users more effective. In day-to-day terms, this could take the form of prioritising emails and highlighting important content and interactions. However, Intelligent Apps are not limited to new digital assistants, and every existing software category from security tooling to enterprise applications such as marketing or ERP, are set to be infused with Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled capabilities.

During the course of 2017, MyFirmsApp will be developing the functionality of its’ unique and compliant personalised mobile App service to further cement the relationship between the accountant and client in the always-on, mobile world. Helping accountants to become better connected, to collaborate with clients, communicate automatically and collect data.

Whenever the client needs information, the accountant is literally just a tap away – even when the office is closed. The App is not just a symbol of modern thinking; it’s a tool that has a key role to play in reducing the cost of advice and developing new ways to connect and collaborate with consumers. It’s this ease of accessibility that will help accountants to ‘lock-in’ their clients’ loyalty whilst providing many other operational benefits.

Joel Oliver, CEO, MyFirmsApp says: “We are committed to ensuring our App remains the global industry leader by thinking ahead. In line with the Gartner insight, we are working to make the App even more powerful and intelligent with the built-in capability to learn, adapt and potentially act autonomously. These are incredibly exciting times and we are proud to be putting this technology in the hands of accountancy firms.”
